Näfelser Fahrt: Political Speech

Though the "Näfelser Fahrt" event is in commemoration of a battle back in 1388 the speaker, a member of the cantonal government, did not stay long with the past but took the opportunity to address problems we are facing today and in the near future: globalization, climate change, finding a balance between economic activity and environment protection etc.

The two men in red gowns next to the speaker are "Standesweibel" escorting the government at public events.
